This 67 hectare English Vineyard is one of the oldest and largest English
Wine Producer in the Country and was first established in Essex by the
Greenwood family in the village of Purleigh in 1969. The vines grown at
New Hall have been planted between 12m to 24m above sea level on
well-sheltered southern facing slopes of a shallow valley. Which
over the years has proven itself to be an almost ideal climatic site for
the growing of vines in England and regularly produces above average
crops of high quality grapes with naturally high sugars, normally in
excess of 250,000 bottles each year.
New Hall Vineyards is open daily for visitors FREE OF CHARGE to taste
some of the award winning wines and walk along the Vineyard Trail.
Special Guided Tours can be booked during the summer for groups of 16 of
more.
