GENERAL TASTING NOTES

Ruby Royalé
The Full Bodied Red shows the developing maturity of this wine which has a depth of intensity to its hue.  Spice and flowers mingle on the nose with hints of Pinot Noir richness and oak.  A medium dry but rich palate and lingering finish that remains in the mouth for a long time.  So much depth & character already this will continue to improve.
Huxelrebe
Soft fruit nose with layers of crisp apple underpinned by floral notes.  Wonderful fresh cutting acidity with plenty of weight on the palate gives the wine lots of substance and complexity.  The fruit is pronounced in its intensity and it finishes with a dry applely crunch. Drinking now, this will continue to evolve and develop over the next couple of years

Muller-Thurgau

Lemony light gold colour with gentle youthful floral fruits. The palate is medium dry with very evident cutting acidity.  Young intense fruit characters, which need some time to develop and become fully integrated into the wine. Further ageing for about six months will see the full potential of this wine evolve.

Perle
Subtle hints of  fresh floral fruits on the nose with just a
hint of spice in the background.  A dry palate that has a zippy spice to it with hints of tropical fruits, such as lychee. Full ripe flavours that are rich yet dry and has a lingering finish.  This is ideal for current drinking, especially for the spicy character.

Sparkling
Good mousse with tiny well formed bubbles that fill the glass.  On the palate a lovely
fresh green acidity gives a zippiness to the classic bread/yeast notes.  The perfect way to either start or finish the day, this is a class act and is far superior to many of the sparkling wines that proliferate the supermarket shelves – try it – enjoy it.

Bacchus
Pale lemon colour with gentle floral notes and a dash of cinnamon.  Off dry, with a slight ‘spritz’, and fresh acidity, the palate is perfectly balanced with layers of rounded fruit.  There is a depth to the wine and it will drink well for up to three years.  Perfect as a refreshing aperitif.

Ortega
Pale lemon green hue with a smoky mineral nose, hints of honeyed peaches & cream. The palate opens up to deliver a rich, but not overtly sweet, texture, with fresh acidity (balancing the residual sugar) giving a broad concentrated complexity to the wine. The layered structure will underpin future development and with time a refined rich dessert style will appear

Pinot Grie - Tokay
The lemony gold colour shows the developing maturity of this wine which has a depth of intensity to its hue.  Spice and flowers mingle on the nose with hints of richness.  A medium rich palate with textured hints of honeyed fruit layered with exotic spice.  A lingering finish that remains in the mouth for a long time.  So much depth & character already this will continue to improve & will be a perfect foil to smoked fish.
Pinot Noir
Brilliant salmon rose pink hues with tons of soft summer fruit pudding notes on the bouquet.  Just off-dry on the palate the ripe strawberry fruit comes into play and whilst the overall structure is not intense there is a wonderful freshness to the wine.  Ideal for drinking young, this is delicious now – perfect for all occasions

Signature
Pale lemon colour with gentle floral notes and a dash of cinnamon.  Off dry, smooth and clean fruity flavour and subtle yet delightful nose. of summer fruits with a gentle freshness and rich style.  Perfect as a
refreshing aperitif.

Chardonnay
A Fine Dry but soft, gentle green apple bouquet with hints of straw gold to its vibrant hue.  Fresh acidity with mellow pronounced fruit and a layered texture, that gives a rounded mouthfill.  This is a classic Chardonnay full of tipicity and character and is ideal for current drinking over the next year or so.
